South Carolina State Department of Education

The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) oversees K-12 public education in the state. Our mission is to ensure that every student in South Carolina receives an education that meets their individual needs, while also preparing them to be contributing members of society. We work closely with students, parents, teachers, staff, school districts, government officials, and the media to facilitate the best possible education for South Carolina’s students.

Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office – House Impact Statements

The Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office provides a variety of economic analyses and reports generated in response to the statutory responsibilities of the office.  Topics addressed include state revenue reports and forecasts, analyses of tax revenues, local government finance, education, and local property taxes.

BEA Revenue Impact Statements-House

With Act 121 of 2014, the South Carolina Legislature established the Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office (RFA) governed by the three appointed members of the Board of Economic Advisors. Three entities under the Budget and Control Board were combined under the 2014 Restructuring Act to form RFA. These three entities were the Board of Economic Advisors (BEA), the Office of Research and Statistics (ORS), and the Office of State Budget (OSB).
