Champion of Education Award

Two outstanding members of the General Assembly were awarded SCASBO’s Champion of Education Award.  Representative Rita Allison and Representative Raye Felder were recognized for their tireless work in education.  Representative Allison is the chair of the House Education and Public Works Committee.  Representative Felder is a member of the House Education and Public Works Committee and serves as the subcommittee chair of the committee’s K-12 Subcommittee.  Both of these individuals always have their doors open and stand ready to listen. When issues surrounding the Fiscal Accountability Act arose during the implementation stage of the act, both were willing to listen and work with SCASBO to make changes to the act.  Join us in thanking both for their unending support for education.
